Category 6A (CAT6A) cable is currently being specified for data centres to support Gigabit network applications and higher bandwidths and as the streaming of 4K UHD content increases, CAT6A is becoming the right choice for more and more systems.

CAT6A cable supports data rates of 10G and a bandwidth of up to 500MHz and the best of the

best is probably Labgear’s CAT6A S/FTP range of patch leads that have four individually shielded pairs and an outer screen braid around all four pairs (similar to CAT7).
